About Us and this Site

In all the experience I had gained in Senior Operational Management roles in a number of industries, and in a very satisfying and successful five year period of Small Business Mentoring, I had not found a simple and inexpensive approach to Strategic Planning. So what started as a personal want has developed into a way to help others in achieving success in THEIR businesses.

In my Small Business mentoring role I was amazed not only at the practical skills possessed by Small and Medium Business Owners, but also by how little time they spent working ON their businesses instead of working IN them! I knew from the successes that I had been involved in however that because they have greater control over their business, changes can be made quickly, and improvements achieved very quickly indeed!!

It was the aspect of Strategic Planning that I chose to start with, and which lead on to Business and Personal skills, and achieving Success. I know from my own career that it is so possible to achieve whatever one wants by learning and growing using the experience of those who have done it before, and applying to one’s own particular circumstances.

I knew that if I focused enough on a Vision of where I wanted to get to, and persisted in that dream, then the actual route would not matter, it would just take the timelines I put in place to achieve.

I had used the computer and Internet a lot during my business career, had a good home computer, so started looking for the best way to put my ideas into action.

I spent weeks looking through the minefield of the internet and signed up to a number of newsletters, to get a flavour of what was out there,I knew I had to build a website, and had many ideas about what I wanted it to be about, but I had absolutely no idea how to transfer those ideas into reality!The questions of how to start a home based business, or how to create a profitable website, were initially beyond me, BUT I have always thought that if someone else can do it so can I.

But how?

Most of the business information on the internet is about Internet Marketing, and there were countless books about that. I was fortunate that a very helpful, down to earth Englishman mentioned in one of his newsletters that he had used Sitesell to build his website, so I looked at that site and many others involved in managing websites. Sitesell looked really interesting, and definitely sounded a lot less 'hyped' than most of the stuff I was seeing, so I kept reading, and the rest, so they say, is history!!

I get so excited to sit down at my computer every day and see where the journey is taking me. Seeing business owners come to my site, find out about us, read articles and purchase the Ebooks I have created, gives me a great sense of pride, fulfilment, and huge reward for all those years I spent at the front line in business operations.
